Laurie is a Northern actor and writer currently based in South-East London. Acting credits include UK tour & West End transfer of the National Theatre’s The Ocean at the End of the Lane (*****), BBC’s Great Expectations and feature film Fackham Hall, in UK and US cinemas.

As a playwright, Laurie has been shortlisted for the Women’s Playwriting Prize and longlisted for the Bruntwood prize 2025. S

Laurie is a multi-award winning poet and current co-editor of And Other Poems online magazine. Her debut poetry pamphlet Humaning was published by flipped eye in November 2021. She is currently on the Future Light playwriting scheme, a former Roundhouse Resident Artist and a former Jerwood/Arvon playwriting mentee selected by Tim Crouch.

She has been commissioned by the Barbican, Sky Arts, Barnardos, Traverse Theatre Edinburgh, Zoo Co Theatre, Nationwide, and Roundhouse.
