Movement Direction, DramaTurgy & facilitation

With a background in dance & as a writer, Laurie’s movement direction & dramaturgical skills sit pretty comfortably together. She tailors her skills to whatever is needed for each individual project. As a facilitator, Laurie has led workshops for young people ages 6-25 & for adults in movement, drama, writing & poetry. Laurie has worked for companies including The National Youth Theatre, Zoo Co, The Roundhouse & The National Theatre. Most recently, Laurie’s dramaturgy/script editing on ‘You Saw Me’ short film (Jardel Rodrigues) was nominated for the Best Copywriting at the prestigious DMA awards.

I love to feedback on scripts in development & work-in-progress devised pieces. I am especially drawn to queer work, disabled led work, hybrid theatre (especially poetry theatre) and comedy. If you want to collaborate, just pop me a message & let’s grab a cuppa. Happy to provide references & fully DBS checked.
